This qualification aims to develop the learner’s knowledge and understanding of the key principles of information, advice or guidance and applying these within their own context. The objectives of this qualification are to prepare learners for further training and to support a role where learners may give initial information, advice or guidance to others.
For many businesses, being able to offer clear and accurate information, advice or guidance (IAG) - and knowing what can be shared legally and professionally - is really important. This course covers communication techniques, interpersonal skills and group interactions, as well as how to store and retrieve information in a way that complies with the law.
Bursaries available
The Cornwall College Group (TCCG) is committed to helping as many adults as possible to access our courses and we may be able to offer support with essential equipment such as a laptop to complete your online course. Students would need to meet the criteria for ASF funding and for bursary to be eligible for a laptop. The laptop would only be loaned for the duration of your studies, so you would not be allowed to keep it afterwards. All laptops would need to be returned to Cornwall College St Austell after completion of your course.
