A Supported Internship is available to learners 16-24 years old with an EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) who wish to gain employment

On this course, you will work as an intern in the workplace for up to 3 days a week, with the support of a Job Coach, where you will gain valuable skills and experience. You will be required to attend College for two days a week to develop English and maths skills as well as key employability skills such as communication, time management, confidence and independent living.

Throughout this study programme, you will spend one day a week in college where you will participate in employment related workshops and develop your English and maths skills. We will work with you to seek supported employment opportunities within your local area.

To be eligible for this course you need to be aged between 16 and 24 with a current Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).

2-3 days in a work placement supported by a job coach.

Your assessment and progress will be based on an individually tailored employability RARPA (Recognising and Recording Progress & Achievement) programme.

This will focus on individual employability based targets and goals which are linked to outcomes set within your EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) and / or your career goals and aspirations.

On successful completion of this course, you may to progress to paid employment or an apprenticeship.
